From Observation to Action:
My Mission with Thai Voices
Hi! My name is Nice, and I'm an individual who believes in action. Since 2023, I've been personally funding my efforts to support Thai women who might be struggling in Denmark and Sweden.
I choose not to rent an apartment with a fixed monthly payment because I prefer to use that money for my charity work, specifically for travel expenses to Sweden. Many people might categorize me as homeless, but I call myself a nomad—someone who travels to where the work needs to be done!
My frequent travels are extensive; they don't just include major cities like Malmö or Stockholm, but extend far out to remote areas like Hudiksvall, Borlänge, Gävle, Kalmar, and many others. All these visitations require money, so I have to plan wisely every month, meticulously saving up for each trip.
Inspiration from Sweden to Denmark
I noticed something interesting on my travels: Thai women in Sweden seem really united and work together beautifully (a harmonious collective action), but here in Denmark, the community often feels separated. This inspired me greatly! I save every penny to buy train and bus tickets to Sweden so I can learn from groups like ThaiWise.se. Their model of women supporting each other is a huge inspiration, and I want to understand how they built that strong unity.
I started a small project here called ThaiVoices.org. I use my writing skills to connect with local Thai women. I listen to their stories, share meals, cook together and offer support. We might hold differing views, but my commitment is simple: unconditional respect and genuine love for them.
I know my education doesn't make me better than anyone else. We just have different knowledge, and I want to share the best I have to offer, they also share their knowledge from their experiences to me. I want to be a consistent, reliable friend before the fate separates us.
My Dual Mission: Voice, Empowerment, and Cuisine
My mission is two-fold: advocacy and cultural empowerment through food.
I help the women speak up about injustice and discrimination through my writing and video work. I then send these stories—sometimes collaborating with AI to optimize distribution—to all possible contacts in journalism and relevant organizations.
The struggles these women face are often rooted in lacking access to essential knowledge, especially in remote areas. I share my knowledge directly, teaching them how to use AI (like how to write prompts in ChatGPT or Gemini), how to contact authorities, and how to communicate effectively in writing using tools like AI or Google Translate, so they gain confidence despite language barriers.
I'm developing a unique project centered on a cookbook and catering service where the women become cultural entrepreneurs:
Limited Edition Recipes: The cookbook will feature their favorite, healthy Thai dishes—limited edition recipes and rare menus that you won't find in typical tourist restaurants. The food represents true local Thai cuisine, not using unusual meats, and is vegan and vegetarian friendly.
A Story in Every Dish: Guests interested in healthy, authentic Thai meals can order catering for parties. They choose their food through a website where each participating Thai person has a profile featuring their photo, their signature dish, and their story.
Donation-Based Model: The catering service will be donation-based—donate as you please, provided the initial cost of making the food is covered.
This model ensures that you get a fantastic, limited-edition Thai meal while directly hearing the stories of the women who prepare it, blending traditional and fusion styles—the East meeting the West.
Our Hands-On Operations Across Denmark
My work is done right in the community. I travel and actually knock on doors in workplaces and communities, meeting people face-to-face.
Though I return to Copenhagen, my base, I remain available to assist them in the cyber world. They can always be in touch with me when they have problems that need fixing. All these efforts come from my personal experience, and I dedicate my time and energy to this mission whenever I am available and in good health.
